Job Summary:

The Bravas Service Technician is responsible for servicing products at client job sites. He or she must have the ability to trouble shoot all aspects of A/V components. The Service Technician will provide excellent quality of service and client experience while meeting industry standards and ensuring accurate revenue reflection.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with installed systems such as Control4, Lutron Homeworks, Savant, and Crestron.
  • Utilize remote access to repair network-based solutions and ensure system stability.
  • Set up remote monitoring systems and enroll clients in appropriate support plans.
  • Coordinate with the Service Manager to track and address recurring issues effectively.
  • Honestly and accurately coordinate with Tech Support provided by manufacturers
  • Manage advanced replacements and ensure timely procurement of necessary parts.
  • Work with the small projects team to identify upsell opportunities and replacement sales.
  • Accurately set completion deadlines and expectations for clients
  • Set up, configure, program, and troubleshoot networks, control systems, audio visual and surveillance equipment
  • Review, react, & update daily work orders in job management software
  • Ensure precise time clock entries and job costing.
  • Client training and customer service.
  • On call rotation maybe required
  • Local travel to job sites required
  • Provide training or communication to disseminate pertinent information as required
  • Fiscal responsibility for all assets assigned and property within Technician’s care
  • Customer service, including the ability to work with high profile and high demand customers
  • Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home security
  • Adhere to all state and federal laws, including strict compliance with traffic laws.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
 
  • Must possess an understanding of all systems including audio, video, security, lighting, and integration of all installed brands (Control4, Lutron, Savant, Crestron, DSC, Clare)
  • Must be able to read home schematics, plans or CAD Drawings
  • Basic wiring and connectivity skills as it pertains to low voltage standards
  • Trouble shooting skills are essential
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to become competent in in-house job management software

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to become competent in in-house job management software
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and pass a criminal background check
  • Security license or experience preferred
