The System Designer & Engineer must possess an understanding of all AV systems including audio, video, security, lighting and integration of all Bravas brands. They must also be able to read and construct documentation such as house plans, wiring schematics, and lighting diagrams etc. The ability to communicate with the sales team, design team, and project managers is paramount. Must pursue continuing education on systems including audio, video, security, lighting, D-Tools and AutoCAD
Qualifications:
Objective: To ensure excellent customer experiences by providing accurate, innovative, reliable, and intuitive system designs, while maintaining the appropriate balance between profitability for the company and competitive pricing for the client.Summary of Position:
The System Designer Level I is responsible for taking the input from the sales team and returning a a complete and competitive design according to Bravas standards to obtain a signed contract. The solutions must be accurate and accompanied by supporting engineering documents to allow operations to complete an efficient install. The Level I position will primarily focus on small system designs, quick-turn projects, and change orders until moving up to Level II is warranted.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare documents for the design phase including but not limited to proposals, plans, drawings and elevations.
- Complete quick turn projects, expedited requests, and change orders
- Work with the individual branches to facilitate information transfer from sales, technicians, and PM's
- Coordinate with sales, operations, D&E, and BSR to develop solutions based on client intake information, site assessments, and sales team instructions.
- Complete small (under $100K) system designs as needed
- Update project documentation and work orders in job management software
- Create & update project drawings and schematics as needed
- Peer Review and provide feedback after the initial design process to ensure all necessary aspects of functionality are included.
- Understand and adhere to company standards on product/labor mix, margin, and revenue per technician
- Understand and adhere to company standards on product labor attachments and revenue assessment for off-site labor hours (ie. Programming time, travel time, etc.)
- Occasionally travel to sites to witness systems in use
- Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home security

- Technical aptitude and attention to detail are paramount
- Flexibility to meet customer demands outside of normal working hours
- May require standing or sitting for extended periods
- Position is eligible for remote work with supervisory approval
